Anyone wishing to seek the nomination must file papers requesting approval from the party to run as a nomination candidate. The papers may be found in the Prospective Candidate Package available from Heather Fernhout, NDP Organizer. Papers must be filed by January 25, 2012.
To vote in this nomination:
All those holding current memberships in the NDP or having submitted a paid membership to the Alberta NDP Provincial Office by January 28th, 2012, and living in the Provincial Constituency are eligible to vote. Call 1.800.465.6587 to update your membership.

Brian votes no to MLA severence hikes
Four years ago, after the August long weekend and while Edmonton hosts the world track and field championships, MLAs push through their own severance package. Three months pay for every year warming a seat. Only NDPer Brian Mason votes no.
