Mason: RAM is another broken PC promise

Alberta’s NDP Opposition leader Brian Mason says the Redford PCs must find a way to get a new Royal Alberta Museum built after promising it to Albertans.

“This is a signature institution for Edmonton’s downtown and for all Albertans. The PCs have let Albertans down,” Mason says.

“They owe Albertans a lot of answers for their hair-trigger decision to halt the project.

“The PCs said in their RAM announcement they only had a $30 million commitment from the federal government, yet they promised it would be built. This is another broken PC promise to Albertans.”

Mason says he supports building the new museum and wants to see the project move forward as soon as possible.

“All Albertans want to see our history and culture showcased properly. We should move ahead now,” Mason says.
