The Liberals and Conservatives have plans for the economy that only benefit the large corporations who donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to their parties.
- The Liberals and Conservatives have repeatedly ignored calls from Albertans to manage the pace of growth. They support the export of massive profits and jobs out of the province, leaving ordinary people to deal with the problems.
- The Liberals have not put forward a plan for the economy that considers the needs of ordinary families. They have only called for greater corporate political donations to their party from large corporations.
- Liberals and Conservatives can't be counted on to represent ordinary families because they are more interested in collecting greater political contributions from large profitable corporations.

Alberta's NDP would:
- Develop a labour retention strategy so that our businesses can run at full capacity
- Better manage the pace of development in the oil-patch to mitigate effects of the uncontrolled growth
- Support increased oil royalties, using some of the funds created to promote a green energy industry - preparing Alberta for the day when oil and gas reserves are depleted
- Build and maintain crucial infrastructure necessary for our economic growth and social services
