Health care, not CorruptCare.

Albertans deserve the truth. Demand a public inquiry now.

Whether it’s the hundreds of millions in public dollars wasted on Turkish Tylenol and DynaLife lab services, the firing of the former AHS CEO after she tried to blow the whistle on mismanaged procurement processes, or blocking access to investigations and scrutiny, this government just can’t stay away from corruption.

But the UCP’s CorruptCare scandal just keeps growing.

In a series of recent articles, the latest Globe and Mail’s ongoing investigation has revealed even deeper connections between Danielle Smith, UCP cabinet ministers, and their close political friends. These are the same friends who hosted the Premier and ministers in a hockey playoff skybox and have since been awarded shady health-care contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars for private surgical facilities.

Meanwhile, Albertans are struggling to get the care they need. Emergency rooms are overcrowded, health-care staff are overworked, and thousands don’t have access to a family doctor. We deserve so much better.

These allegations are serious, and Albertans deserve the truth about what happened.

That’s why we’re calling for a full public inquiry into CorruptCare.

It’s a no-brainer: if the Premier really has nothing to hide, she’d have called one herself.
