Rob Miyashiro

About Rob

Rob Miyashiro has spent more than four decades building a better life for people in southern Alberta.

Born in Lethbridge, raised in Taber, he has deep roots here and a career that reflects how deeply he cares for his community.

As Executive Director of the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization, he championed the dignity and care of Alberta's seniors for over two decades. His work with the Blood Tribe Youth Ranch, the YWCA, and the Rehabilitation Society of Southwestern Alberta reflects his values and dedication to stand up for people who need someone in their corner. During his years at the Youth Ranch, he was honoured with the Blackfoot name Aakaoko'si (Many Children) in recognition of his dedication to youth.

Rob was first elected as the MLA for Lethbridge-West in the 2024 by-election and now serves as Shadow Minister for Municipal Affairs, holding this UCP government accountable for the communities they've neglected.

Rob Miyashiro is ready. Alberta's New Democrats are ready.
