For Alberta For Canada Marda Gras Booth - Set-Up Shift

Organized by Calgary-Elbow

August 9, 2026, 7:00 A.M.Chew Chew Pediatric Dentistry, 33 Avenue Southwest, Calgary, AB, Canada

Hello, Thank you for signing up for the Marda Gras Set-Up Shift on Sunday, August 9 at 7:00 a.m. Vehicle access to the festival site will be permitted until 8:30 a.m. Please note that no vehicles will be allowed on-site after 8:30 a.m. Due to road closures and increased traffic in the area, we encourage you to arrive early to allow yourself plenty of time. This year, our booth theme is For Alberta, For Canada. The day will be fun, engaging, and straightforward. Volunteers will help welcome attendees, distribute For Alberta, For Canada merchandise, and encourage people to learn more about the movement. Our primary goal for the day is to encourage attendees to sign up through our QR code. Every conversation is an opportunity to help grow the movement. When engaging with festival-goers, please encourage them to scan the QR code and sign up to stay connected. By signing up, they can learn more about the movement, receive updates, volunteer at future events, and participate in upcoming community activities. A friendly conversation can go a long way. Our goal is not only to share information, but to inspire people to take action and become part of a growing movement of Albertans and Canadians who care about the future of our province and country. Our key message is: “For Alberta, For Canada is for everyone who wants to take action ahead of a potential separatism referendum. We love our province and our country, and we’re ready to push back against separatism and the rhetoric that puts both at risk.” Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear comfortable footwear, and bring water and sunscreen. If you are driving, please plan to arrive early. Parking will be extremely limited due to festival crowds and road closures, and we strongly recommend taking public transit whenever possible. As this is a For Alberta, For Canada event, we encourage volunteers to wear red if possible to help create a strong and unified presence throughout the festival. Booth is front of Chew Chew Paediatric Dentistry on 33 Ave SW. Thank you for volunteering your time. We look forward to seeing you at Marda Gras and working together for Alberta and for Canada.
