The Alberta NDP Rural Caucus presents “PRAIRIE FIRE: Igniting Possibility”.
Join us for the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the Rural Caucus. Every Alberta NDP member is welcome to attend.
When: November 7, 2026 from 8:30am to 4:30pm
Where: In person at Northside Community Centre YMCA, 6391-76 St, Red Deer, OR online via Zoom.
Highlights:
- Keynote speaker Andrew Nikiforuk, renowned journalist and author, on “Fixing the Alberta Advantage”
- Greetings from Alberta NDP officials (including special guests)
- Conversation with NDP Leader, Naheed Nenshi
- Heartland Conversations: Small group discussions of timely issues of particular relevance to rural Albertans
- Election of Executive positions (Female Co-chair, Social Media Coordinator, Resolutions Coordinator, up to 3 Members at Large: at least 2 female and preferably from the northern region of the province)
Cost:
- In-person attendance (includes lunch and two health breaks): $60
- Online attendance via Zoom: $30

Please note: Absolutely NO registrations after this date. NO registration at the door.
Other important notes:
- A portion of each payment is a donation to the Rural Caucus eligible for tax receipt.
- All registrants for both in-person and online attendance will receive the Zoom link with their confirmation of registration.
- All registrants will receive meeting documents via email a day ahead of the AGM.
- Maximum of 70 attendees for the in-person event.
